Turn Your Towel Into A Hoodie

Feb 18th 2018

With a few materials that you have lying around the house you can create a hooded towel for your child or baby. Check out below on the tips for how to make it.

  • Materials needed: A large towel depending on the size of the child or toddler in addition to a hand towel (this will serve as your hood) and material of your choosing, for the rim of the hood, with also a needle and some thread.

  • The first step is to cut the hand towel in half across the width. Unless you want an extra-large hood it is best to use half and you can always repurpose the other half for another hoodie or for cleaning purposes.

l

  • Cut your fabric of choice about 3 inches wide and the width of your hand towel and press a hem using an iron on both sides of the fabric at about an inch and a half (half the width).

Fold the finished edge of your towel twice to create the brim, lay your fabric across the brim and then stitch into place. Sew the back of the hood and stitch the right sides together and you have a custom made hooded towel.
